Run away the 24th of May, from Wm. Noblit of Middletown in
Chester County, an Irish servant man named John M'Colhem,
about 26 years of age, a likely man, fair and fresh
colour'd, straight brown hair, has little smiling eyes, a
sharp nose and broad chin, a sober modest young man, but in
company he is apt to sing, has a soft womanly voice, he
whistles well, with little alteration of his lips. Had on
when he went away, a jockey coat of blue broad cloath, with
white mettal buttons, a light colour'd jacket with a double
breast, a check shirt and a white one, blue plush breeches,
flower'd garters green and yellow, and wears them commonly
below his knees.
Whosoever take up and secures the said servant, so that
his master may have him again, shall have three pounds
reward and reasonable charges paid by [signed] William
Noblit.
N.B. It is supposed that he either went with or followed a
New-England man, named John Hoyet, to some of the Iron-
works. It is likewise supposed that he may have changed his
apparel.
