Franckford, Oct. 10. O.S. Yesterday 60 Hussars passed by
our neighbourhood who are going with all diligence to join
the regiment of Col. Mentzel. . . [5 lines] We just now
hear that the Hussars of this Colonel have taken 500 oxen
from the French near Saar-Louis on the frontiers of Lorrain.
The detachment that escorted them was of 2000 men, but the
Hussars in approaching them sounding all the trumpets, the
French imagin'd it was some great body of troops, and took
to flight, leaving their whole convoy behind them.
