Rome, February 5. O.S. . . The Cardinal de Tenica,
Ambassador from France, had a mind to sing Te Deum, in the
Church dell'Anima, on account of the election of an Emperor,
but the Cardinal del Giudice, who is protector of the German
nation, sent him word, that if he did come, he would find
himself and other people there, who would prevent his having
any other business than that of getting back again; on which
he thought proper to desist. . .
