Newport, May 28. . . On Monday last our Governour and
Council received advice from New-York, that there were two
Spanish privateers on the coast, upon which it was order'd
that the colony sloop should take a cruize, and that the
drums should beat up for voluntiers, and the next day she
sail'd with about an hundred stout men, commanded by Capt.
Benjamin Wickham. . .
