London, January 7.  Yesterday his Majesty was not at the
Chapel-Royal as usual, to offer gold, myrrh, and
frankinsence, in imitation of the Eastern Magi, or Wise Men,
who offer'd in that manner to our Saviour on that day.
[because of the recent death of the Queen]
   There was no ball at St. James's, or playing at cards by
his Majesty as usual. . .
