Charlestown, March 30. Mr. Oglethorpe being arrived the
14th inst. at Georgia, he acquainted the Saltzburgers who
were come with Capt. Fry . . . that they should have the
liberty to chose such part of the country as they thought
most convenient for them to build a town. . . [16 lines,
choose a spot up the river to be called Ebenezer.] The
Saltzburghers were extreamly pleased with the place, kneeled
down by the river side, sung a psalm and returned God thanks
for bringing them out of their persecutions, . . .
