Charlestown, May 27. . . At North Edisto, on Wednesday night
last, Mr. Christopher Dennis was kill'd, by two men who came
lately from Cape Fear; one's name is Robinson, who professes
several businesses, as butcher, dancing master, &c. the
other named Michael Cavina. They having no money, and
Dennis refusing to let them have more liquor, they knocked
him on the head with their gun, and kick'd him on the
stomach, so that he died in 4 hours after. Capt. Rawlins
has sent a Hue and Cry after them, but we do not hear that
they are yet taken.
