Versailles, March 22. N.S.  The 18th being Palm-Sunday, the
King, accompanied by the Duke de Maine and the Prince de
Dombes, went to the Chapel in the castle, where his Majesty
was present at the blessing of the Palm, which was performed
by the Abbot Bresloan, Chaplain to the Chapel of Musick, who
presented one of them to the King;  His Majesty assisted at
the procession; and after the gospel, he adored the cross. 
After which the King heard high mass celebrated by the same
chaplain, and sung to musick.  The Queen heard the same mass
in her gallery. . . [30 lines, other services and
ceremonies.]  After this ceremony, the King and Queen heard
the office De Tenebris sung to musick in the chapel.
