Paris, Sept. 30.  As soon as Monseigneur the Dauphine was
born, he was sprinkled by the Cardinal de Rohan, . . . [5

   The letter which the King wrote to the Archbishop of
Paris, for singing the Te Deum in our Cathedral Church.
  Cousin,
Of all the blessings which it has pleased God to pour upon
me since my accession to the crown, that which he has now
granted me, by the birth of a son, . . . [13 lines] it is my
intention that you cause the Te Deum to be sung in the
metropolitan church of my good city of Paris, &c.
