To The Curious and Learned. To enumerate the various
beauties of the French and Italian languages would an
useless task. The superiority which the former enjoys an
all the courts of Europe, plainly evinces that there is no
other language more exquisitely calculated for conveying the
ideas in so intelligible and perspicuous a manner. The
delicate elegance of the Italian is unquestionable, as being
the language of musick, and absolutely necessary for those
who intend to be connoisseurs in that fine art.
The ladies and gentlemen who desire to learn these
languages, may be completed in either, in the space of four
months, by Francis Johnson, Professor of Languages, in
Norris's Alley, fifth door from Front-Street. Attendance
will be given in their apartments, or at his lodgings.
