Yesterday at noon "His Excellency Thomas Wharton, jun Esq;
President of the Supreme Executive Council of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Captain General and Commander
in Chief in and over the same, " was proclaimed at the
Courthouse, 
. . . [Several paragraphs describe the celebrations]
The bells of the city were rang, and the whole was conducted
with the utmost decency, and no accident happened of any
kind.
