Savannah (in Georgia) August 10.  [Description of the
celebration on receiving the Declaration of Independence]
In the evening the town was illuminated, and there was
exhibited a very solemn funeral procession, attended by the
grenadier and light infantry companies, and other militia,
with their drums muffled, and fifes, . . . when George the
Third was interred before the court-house. . .
