Yesterday morning an officer of the 64th regiment and one of the privates ran from Dorchester Neck Point to the Town-House in this town: The officer arrived in 40 minutes, and the soldier in about 7 minutes after him: It is computed to be full 7 miles, and the road very miry. Considerable bells we hear were laid by the officers of that regiment for the benefit of a ball. |
