Boston, March 18. Yesterday morning an officer of the 64th
regiment and one of the privates ran from Dorchester Neck
Point to the Town-House in this town: The officer arrived
in 40 minutes, and the soldier in about 7 minutes after him:
It is computed to be full 7 miles, and the road very miry.
Considerable bells we hear were laid by the officers of that
regiment for the benefit of a ball.
