The Second Night. By Authority. By the American Company, at
the Theatre in Southwark, this evening, will be presented a
new comic opera, call'd
The School for Fathers; or, Lionel and Clarissa.
Col. Oldboy by Mr. Goodman, Lionel by Mr. Woolls, Sir
John Flowerdale by Mr. Douglass, Mr. Jessamy by Mr. Henry,
Harman by Mr. Henry, Jenkins by Mr. Parker, Clarissa by
Miss Storer, Lady Mary Oldboy by Mrs. Harman, ode.Jenny by
Mrs Henry, Diane Oldboy by Miss Hallam.
The Orchestra to be conducted by Mr. Hallam.
At the end of the play, and between the acts of the
entertainment, Dancing by Mr. Francis.
To which will be added, A Fairy Tale, in a dramatic
entertainment of two acts, called,
Edgar and Emmeline.
Edgar, Son to the Earl of Kent, disguised as a woman, under
the name of Elfrida, by Mr. Hallam, Florimond by Mr. Wall,
First Aerial Spirit by Miss Storer, Second Aerial Spirit by
Mrs. Henry, Other Spirits by Mr. Goodman, Mr. Woolls, Mr.
Byerley, Mr. Parker, Mrs. Morris, Mrs. Wall, &c. &c. Woman
to Elfrida by Miss Richardson, Emmeline, Daughter to the
Earl of Northumberland, disguised as a man under the name of
Gondibert, by Miss Hallam. With music and dances incidental
to the piece.
The doors to be opened at four, and the play to begin
exactly at six o'clock. No person, on any account
whatsoever, can possibly be admitted behind the scenes.
Places in the boxes may be taken at the theatre. Ladies and
gentlemen will please to send their servants at four
o'clock.
Tickets, without which no person can be admitted, are
sold at the bar of the Coffee-House.
