From the Reading [England] Mercury. . . Upon a great
minister's being told that the famous Dr. Lucas (the Irish
Wilkes) had taken a long journey to that country, from whose
bourne no traveller returns, his Lordship replied, "I wish
the English Wilkes had borne him company, which is all that
is now wanting to restore peace to both Kingdoms."
