Willamsburg, October 31. On Friday evening his Excellency
the Governor gave a ball at the Palace, in honour of our
most gracious Sovereign, it being the anniversary of his
accession to the throne. The company was numerous and
brilliant, and the entertainment elegant. The Raleigh
Tavern was likewise opened for the reception of those who
did not choose to attend at the Palace. The city was
handsomely illuminated, and plenty of liquor given to the
populace.
