Thirty Dollars Reward. Ran away last night from the
subscriber, living in Baltimore Town, Maryland, an indented
servant man, named John Green; he was born in Ireland, is
about 5 feet 9 inches high, and about 24 years of age; he is
a likely, well-made man, and has a very good countenance,
wears his own dark brown hair, smooth faced, has but little
beard, a small scar near his mouth, speaks good English, and
writes a good hand; it is said he forged a pass; he says
he served several years in the Earl of Drogheda's regiment
of light dragoons; He arrived here the third day of August,
1769; took with him, when he went away, a blue cloth coat.

shoemaker's tools, he being by trade a shoemaker; he is an
exceeding good workman, and, by his own account, worked some
time as a journeyman at the trade; he is also an excellent
fiddler, and apt to get in liquor; it is remarkable when
talking he is apt to say eath instead of yes; he may change
his clothes; but the above-mentioned scar will make him very
remarkable, except he puts a patch on it; inquire for his
