Martin Foy, dancing-master, takes this opportunity of
returning his most unfeigned thanks to his friends and
employers, for the encouragement he has met with during his
residence in this city, and flatters himself that the
improvement of his pupils, in the time past, will still add
to his recommendation: He will open school at the Assembly
Room, on Wednesday the 20th instant. Ladies and gentlemen,
who please to honour him with their commands, may depend on
his utmost assiduity and care, in forwarding those committed
to his tuition, in the most elegant and expeditious method,
as well as discharging the trust reposed in him with all
confidence and fidelity, and may be assured his school will
be conducted in a regular and polite manner. The days for
public teaching are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Misses at nine o'clock in the morning, and masters at five
in the evening. The room will be illuminated each of the
evenings abovementioned, from 7 till 9, for the reception of
gentlemen only whose time will not permit their attendance
at earlier hours.
N.B. He proposes teaching gentlemen the use of the small
sword, in the most approved method, which he acquired by
practice and experience, under the instruction of the most
judicious swordsmen in Europe, and will give due attendance
on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, in the forenoon. He
also teaches the violin and guittar.
