Extract of a letter from Chester, Feb. 25.
Yesterday morning, about three o'clock, I was greatly
alarmed by the cry of fire, and the tolling of the fire
bell, when I arose out of my bed, which was not far from
where the fire happened. . . [work-house burned to ground]
