Philadelphia, July 23. A number of the citizens of
Philadelphia, in order to manifest their respect and
gratitude to the officers of the federal army, as well as to
shew how much they view the members of the more remote parts
of the American Republic as friends and fellow citizens, on
Friday last provided an elegant entertainment for them at
