On Tuesday the 21st inst. was drawn up, at Flat-Bush, on the
green in front of Colonel Axtell's house, the regiment of
Waldeck, for the purpose of consecrating the colours; at
which were present his Excellency Lieutenant General
Campbell, commanding on the island, and Major General
Hackenberg, commanding the Hessian troops on the island,
with their respective suites. . . [7 lines describing

by Col. de Hoorn, to the generals, the officers of the
regiment, and the principal ladies and gentlemen of the
