On Wednesday last being the anniversary of his Royal
Highness Prince William Henry's birth day, who entered into
his 18th year, a very elegant dinner was given on this
occasion by his Excellency Admiral Digby, to all the great
officers of state;--and in the evening a splendid
illumination, ball and supper were presented at Greenwich,
by Captain Salter, Commander of his Majesty's ship Santa
Margaretta, where a great number of ladies, gentlemen of the
navy, army, and inhabitants of the city were most politely
entertained; and the evening passed with every mark of
elegance and festivity, due to that joyful event.
