New-York, Sept. 23. Yesterday being the anniversary of their
Majesty's coronation, it was observed here with every
possible demonstration of loyalty and joy. At noon a royal
salute was fired from the Battery, and at one o'clock from
the shipping in the harbour. In the evening there was a
grand exhibition of fire-works, after which a splendid ball
was opened by the gentlemen of the army in this garrison. .
. [detailed description of the fireworks follows.]
