Boston, January 23. Wednesday being the anniversary of her
Majesty Queen Charlotte's birth-day, the same was observed
here: A detachment of the troops from the several regiments,
stationed in this town, were drawn up in King-street, and
fired three vollies. His Excellency General Gage,
accompanied by the gentlemen of the army, navy and town,
assembled in the council-chamber, and drank the usual
healths on the occasion, during which a band of music played
in the balcony of the state-house. At one o'clock the
cannon were fired from his Majesty's ships of war lying in
the harbour.
