Theatre. By permission of his Excellency the Governor. By
the American Company, at the Theatre in John Street, this
present evening, the 24th of May, will be presented, a
tragedy, call'd 
Theodosius: or, The Force of Love.
With a view of the grand altar, as at the first institution
of the Christian religion at Constantinople; the vision of
Constantine the Great, the night before his battle with the
Christians; a bloody cross in the air, with these words
round it in golden characters, In Hoc Signo Vinces, &c.&c.

by Mr. Douglass,  Leontine, by Mr. Goodman,  Atticus, (chief
priest) by Mr. Woolls,  Lucius, by Mr. Parker,  Aranthes, by
Mr. Wall,  Pulcheria, by Mrs. Morris,  Flavilla, by Miss
Storer,  Marina, by Miss Richardson,  Julia, by Mrs. Wall, 
Athenais, by Miss Hallam. Dancing, by Mr. Francis.
To which will be added, 
The Lying Valet.

The doors to be open'd at 5, and the play to being precisely
at half an hour after six o'clock.---Places in the boxes may
be taken at the Theatre; and it is requested, that the
ladies and gentlemen who send to engage boxes, wou'd be
pleased to ascertain the number of seats they wou'd have
reserved for them.
