Boston, June 6. Tuesday last being the anniversary of the
birth-day of our most gracious Sovereign when he entered the
34th year of his age, the Hon. his Majesty's Council, and
the Hon. House of Representatives, sitting at Cambridge,
adjourned to Capt. Stedman's public house, where, with a
number of other gentlemen, they joined in expressing their
joy by drinking his Majesty's health, and other loyal and
constitutional toasts. . . [14 more lines describing
military "manoevres" and "an elegant entertainment"] In the
evening, the Honourable Commodore Gambier gave a ball at
Concert-Hall, where were present a great number of gentlemen
and ladies. There was the appearance of the greatest
demonstration of loyalty and joy, among people of all
denominations, on this anniversary.
