On Monday last his Excellency Sir Henry Moore, Baronet,
departed this life in Fort George, after 16 days illness,
and in the fifty-sixth year of his age.---We never had a
governor whose death was more deeply and deservedly
lamented. . . [5 paragraphs describing his accomplishments
in office and his character, then a description of the
funeral procession, including:] From the moment he expired,
all the colours in the harbour were half-hoisted,---all the
bells tolled a great part of the day.---Minute guns were
fired, during the procession from the fort to the church,
which was illuminated---The military honours were paid with
a striking solemnity;..[three more sentences and a diagram
of the procession follow.]
