On Monday last the tragedy of Othello was acted at the
theatre in this city, for the benefit of such poor families
as are not provided for by the publick; and the sum of one
hundred and fourteen pounds, ten shillings, the proceeds of
house, was on Wednesday paid by Mr. Douglass, the manager,
into the hands of George Harrison, Esq; and Mr. John Vander
Speigle, who have undertaken the distribution of this
charity: Those whose circumstances render them real objects
of it, are desired to apply to the above gentlemen, who,
upon a proper certificate of their necessities, will
immediately relieve them.
