New-York, September 25, 1760. James Rivington, bookseller,
from London, has this day opened a store at the house of the
late Doctor Ascough, in Hanover-Square, where he proposes to
sell at the most reasonable rates, all sorts of books, maps,
pictures, mathematical and musical instruments, stationary
wares, and elegant hanging papers, of the newest patterns.
He has brought with him a very large quantity of books in
most languages, arts and sciences, together with all the
latest novels, plays, &c. and a fine assortment of books for
schools and country stores, to be sold by wholesale or
retail. . . .
