To the electors within the state of New-York. Fellow
Citizens, The day of our annual general election is at hand,
when we are to exercise our noblest rights, and perform our
most important duties as members of civil society. . . [13

your representatives; for altho' a man may possess the
eloquence and wisdom of an angel, yet if he lack Whiggism,
like a Christian without charity, he is mere sounding brass.
