On Tuesday last, being the anniversary meeting of the
Corporation for the Relief of the Widows and Children of
Clergymen in the Communion of the Church of England, most of
the Episcopal ministers of Pennsylvania, New-Jersey, and New
York, assembled at Trinity Church, where were present, his
Excellency the Governor, his Excellency the General, the
Gentlemen of his Majesty's Council, the Mayor, Aldermen,
Sheriff, and a very large audience of the principal persons
in town, both civil and military, when a sermon, suitable to
the occasion, was preached by the Rev. Doctor Peters of
Philadelphia; after which a handsome collection was made for
the the truly laudable purpose of the charity.  During the
service several solemn pieces of music were sung by male and
female voices, accompanied by the organ.
