Charles-Town, (South Carolina) June 11. Last Thursday
being the anniversary of his Majesty's birth, when he
entered his 35th year; the flags were displayed; the bells
rang; the great guns fired as usual; the Charles-Town
Regiment of Militia and the Artillery Company were
exercised, and performed to admiration.--The officers of the
militia gave an elegant entertainment at Mr. Holleday's, and
the evening concluded with one illumination--possibly owing
to the scarcity of tallow.
