[A second account of events connected with the arrival of
the new governor. Dinner and 18 toasts described] In the
evening the gentlemen at Hampden-Hall, had a large bonfire
erected in the Commons, where was assembled the greatest
number of people ever seen on the like occasion.  Most of
the houses were handsomly illuminated, and a genteel ball
was given by the gentlemen of the town and army, at
Bolton's.
