NIGHT. 
By night the athiest half believes a God.
Now night resumes her sway o'er half the globe,
And wearied Nature wears her sable robe!
The busy world's in chains of darkness bound,
And awful silence reigns supreme around;
The distant bell from yonder lofty tow'r,
With echoing voice, proclaims the solemn hour;
