By permission of his Excellency the Governor.  For the
benefit of Miss Hallam.  By the American Company.  At the
Theatre in John-Street, on Thursday evening, being the 19th
of May, instant, will be presented, a comic opera, call'd, 
Love in a Village.
Justice Woodcock, by Mr. Douglass,  Hawthorn, by Mr. Woolls, 
Young Meadows, by Mr. Wall,  Sir William by Mr. Morris, 
Eustace, by Mr. Henry,  Hodge, by Mr. Hallam,  Lucinda, by
Miss Hallam,  Mrs. Deborah Woodcock, by Mrs. Douglass, 
Margery, by Mrs. Harman,  Rosetta, by Miss Wainwright.
Servants at the Statute, by Mr. Tomlinson, Mr. Greville,
Mrs. Wall, Mrs. Tomlinson, Miss Storers, &c. &c.  In the
Statute Scene, a country dance. Between the 2d and 3d acts,
The Rose-Bud, compos'd by Dr. Arne, and between the acts of
the comedy, To him that in an Hour must die, compos'd by
Jackson, will be sung, by Miss Hallam.
To which will be added, a comedy in two acts, call'd 
The Lying Valet.
The Lying Valet, by Mr. Hallam,  Beau Trippet, by Mr.
Greville,  Gayless by Mr. Wall,  Drunken Cook, by Mr.
Morris,  Justice Guttle, by Mr. Tomlinson,  Melissa, by Mrs.
Harman,  Kitty Pry, (for the first time) by Miss Wainwright.
The epilogue in character, by Mr. Hallam.
* As the Clandestine Marriage, which Miss Hallam design'd
for her benefit, cannot be perform'd, on account of Miss
Cheer's indisposition; she flatters herself, the ladies and
gentlemen, who intended to honour her with their countenance
and interest, will not let an unavoidable accident, deprive
her of their appearance in her favour, and that they will be
kind enough to approve of her choice of Love in a Village,
as it is the only piece of any merit, in which Miss Cheer
does not perform.
To begin exactly at half an hour after six o`clock.  Vivat
Rex & Regina.  Tickets, to be had at the usual places, and
of Miss Hallam, at Mr. Douglass's, opposite the Theatre.
