Providence, (Rhode-Island) March 19. Yesterday being the
18th of March, a day sacred to liberty, a paper was fixed up
in the most public part of the town, the contents whereof
were published, "Bright shone the sun on the auspicious
morn."--and to perpetuate the remembrance of this important
day, it was accordingly observed with the usual
demonstrations of joy.--On Monday evening a genteel ball is
to be given by the gentlemen of the town, at which there
will be a numerous and very splendid appearance of ladies.
