[News from Newport, Rhode Island] Last Thursday arrived the
schooner Phenix, Capt. Daniel Hunt, in 12 days from Newbern,
North-Carolina, with whom came passenger, Capt. Richardson
of that place, who informs, that Governor Tryon marched from
Newbern with 200 men about a fortnight before they sailed. .

which was on Sunday the 12th of May, late in the afternoon,
the Governor beat to arms, struck his tents, and marched. .
