A letter from London mentions, "that the celebrated
historian, Mrs. McAulay, (with a select party of her
friends) was entertained on board the ship Duchess of
Gordon, Capt. Wynne. . . [7 lines]

played Handel's Water-piece, till they came under the ship's
stern, when it ceased, and the band in the ship begun with
