On Wednesday the 27th of September, the anniversary
commencement of the College of New-Jersey, was held at
Princetown. . . [22 lines listing graduates] The
entertainment of the day, was very agreably opened and
closed with vocal music, performed in three parts, by the
students. After an anthem in the morning, Mr. Smith
pronounced a salutary Latin oration. . . [17 more lines
describing orations] After which the morning exercises were
concluded by an anthem. In the afternoon, the exercise being
introduced with music, Mr. Channing pronounced an English
oration upon Oratory. . .
