On Tuesday last week our annual commencement was held at
Trinity Church, in this city. His Honour the Lieutenant
Governor, the members of his Majesty's Council, the clergy
of the city, and neighbouring governments; and an exceeding
numerous, splendid, and brilliant audience, honoured the
solemnity with their presence . . . [sequence of events
described--prayers, orations; followed by naming of the
degree recipients; then:] The pleasure of the audience was
heightned by several fine pieces of musick and anthems
during the intervals of the exercises, by Mr. Rice, Mr.
Tuckey and several gentlemen.
