This day are published, by Rivington, and Brown, in Hanover-
Square, for the amusement of the leisure hours, and the
exhileration of the disordered affections of our fellow
citizens, occasioned by some late unwelcome decisions,
tending to restrict their laudable spirit of commerce. [3/4
column devoted to works by Samuel Butler, concluding with an
example of his prose, "Character of an Affected Man", which
includes:]. . . He delivers himself in a forced way like one
that sings with a feigned voice beyond his natural compass.
