[News from Philadelphia] Extract of a letter from Carlisle,
Sept. 20, 1763. . .[4th paragraph] "I was also informed,
that on Thursday night, the 8th inst. a large party of
Indians were discovered dancing round their fire on
Patterson's creek, which empties into the south branch of
Potowmack; but that the persons who saw them, being but
three or four, did not discover themselves, but went &
alarmed the neighbourhood.". . .
