London. . . On Tuesday night the ball at St. James's was
opened by the Duke of York and Princess Augusta about nine
o'clock. The King and Queen withdrew about eleven, and the
ball ended at twelve. The quality made a most brillant
[sic] appearance. A young gentleman, dressed in purple
broad cloth, trimed with broad silver lace, supposed to be
disordered in his his [sic] senses, was turned three times
out of the ball room at St. James's, by the proper person in
