FOREIGN AFFAIRS.]  Oct.29. Yesterday the Right Rev. Lord
Bishop of London was enthroned and installed in the
following manner: His Lordship came to the Chapter-House
between the hours of ten and eleven: The prayers at the
Cathedral began, and after the first lesson was read, the
Dean, residentiaries, two prebendaries, with the minor
canons, vicars choral and choristers, went to the Chapter-
House in a full body, when the Bishop took the oath of
allegiance, supremacy, and of residence, and to defend the
rights of the Church, &c.  Then the bell tolled again, and
they all went in procession from the Chapter-House to the
great west-door, and so through the body of the choir, to
the Bishop's throne near the Communion table, in the
following order: 1. the three vergers, with their gowns and
wands, 2. the choristers, two by two, in their surplices. 3.
the almoner, or master of the boys, in his gown. 4. the
vicars choral, two by two in their surplices. . . [22 lines
describing procedure] Then the Te Deum begun, and after that
a prayer for the Bishop was read by Dr. Taylor. The morning
prayers being ended, they all returned to the Chapter-House
in the same order; and Dr. Taylor having placed his Lordship
in the uppermost chair in the Chapter-House, the
residentiaries, prebendaries, minor canons, vicars choral,
organist and vergers, acknowledged canonical obedience,
