Our Grand Theatre in Chapel-Street on Monday night last had
a grand Rout. When the audience were fixed, (agreeable to
the assurance of performing the play of the Twin-Rivals)
about the middle of the . . . [Illegible description,
probably of a fire from a candle]
Thus ended the Comedy, in which a boy unhappily had his
skull fractured, . . . Hats, wigs, cardinals and cloaks
tails of smocks torn off (thro' a mistake) in the hurry; and
a certain Hs[?] (who acted the part of Mrs. Mandrake) being
caught in the She-Dress, was soon turn'd topsey-turvey, and
whipped for a considerable distance.
