By permission of his Honour the Lieutenant Governor, For the
Benefit of Mr. Tomlinson,
By a Company of Comedians. At the New-Theatre in Chapel-
Street, On Monday next, the 12th of April, will be
presented, a Tragedy, written by Shakespear, call'd
Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.
The part of Hamlet, to be perform'd by Mr. Hallam. Ghost, by
Mr. Tomlinson. And the part of the Queen, by Mrs. Douglass.
To which will be added, a Farce, call'd
The Devil to Pay, or, The Wives Metamorphos'd.
Between the Play and Farce, a Prologue, in the character of
a drunken sailor, by Mr. Tomlinson.
To begin exactly at six o'clock.
There are partitions made to divide the side-boxes from one
another, and thereby render them more commodious for select
companies. The ladies and gentlemen who chuse to have boxes
reserv'd for them, are desir'd to send to Mrs. Hallam.
Boxes 8 s.--- Pit 5s.--- Gallery 3s.
[Hand pointing right] The ceremony of waiting on ladies and
gentlemen at their houses with bills, has been for some time
left off in this company: the frequent solicitations on
these occasions, having been found rather an inconvenience
to the person so waited on, than a complement: For which
reason, Mr. Tomlinson, hopes the town will dispense with a
personal application, and favour him with their company.
