By permission of his Honour the Lieutenant Governor, For the
Benefit of Mr. Hallam,
By a Company of Comedians.  At the New-Theatre in Chapel-
Street, This evening, being the 8th of March, will be
presented, a Comedy, written by Congrave, call'd
Love for Love.
(with the humours of Ben the Sailor.)
The part of Valentine, to be perform'd by Douglass. The part
of Ben the Sailor, (with a Song in Character), to be
perform'd by Mr. Hallam. And the part of Angelica, to be
perform'd by Mrs. Douglass.
To which will be added, (by particular desire)
A Pantomime Entertainment, in Grotesque Characters, call'd
Harlequin Collector: or, The Miller Deceiv'd.
In which is introduc'd the celebrated Skeleton Scene, taken
from the Royal Chase, or Merlin's Cave.
The character of Harlequin, by Mr. Hallam. After the
Skeleton Scene, Come, come, my dear shepherd, &c. Sung by
Mr. Sturt. 
To conclude with a Country Dance by the characters of the
entertainment.
To begin exactly at six o'clock.
Tickets to be had of Mr. Gaine, in Hanover-Square, and of
Mr. AAllam [= A. Hallam], at his lodgings, in Nassau-Street.
Boxes 8 s.--- Pit 5s.--- Gallery 3s.
[Hand pointing right] The ceremony of waiting on ladies and
gentlemen at their houses with bills, has been for some time
left off in this company: the frequent solicitations on
these occasions, having been found rather an inconvenience
to the person so waited on, than a complement:  For which
reason, Mr. Hallam, hopes the town will dispense with a
personal application, and favour him with their company.
