The loss sustained by the French in the late actions [at
Minden], is by the best accounts, as follows, viz.  4000
tents, 484 powder wagons, . . . 11 kettledrums, 6080
prisoners, including 13 generals, of which 3 are Princes of
the Blood, 35 Field officers, 245 captains, lieutenants, and
ensigns, 231 subalterns, 122 drums, and 9840 killed.  In
all, 16,458.
