Hanover, October 25. The 22d N.S. being the King's
Coronation Day. His Majesty was complimented thereupon by
all the persons of distinction in and about this city, and
at night there were fine illuminations, especially at the
Town-house and in several places green arches, with little
walks of oranges, adorned with a prodigious number of lamps,
that had a fine effect. His Majesty rode in a coach incog.
to the principal streets, and seemed highly satisfy'd with
the zeal and love demonstrated by his subjects upon this
occasion, by the musick of drums and trumpets from one end
of the town to the other, and by the pretty devices and
emblems expressive of their loyalty.
