Ratisbon, July 7. The last letters written by the
Evangelick Body to the Emperor is now published, and is in
substance as follows,
That the Regency of Saltzburg have acted in the affair of
the departure of the Protestants, just as if there had never
been any such thing as the Treaty of Westphalia, or they had
never troubled themselves to execute the contents of it:
That in their prieted papers, they had treated the
Protestants with contempt: That some of the Protestants
were driven away in a most cruel manner in the depth of
winter, whilst others were detained, though they demanded
liberty to go: . . . [17 lines about the dispersement of
Protestant families] That several of the Protestants had
heavy fine laid upon them for singing and praying with their
neighbours, and others have been banished not only the
Dioceses but also the Empire: . . . [13 more lines on the
violation of the Treaty of Westphalia.]
